Whale sharks are the biggest sharks, but they're completely harmless. They eat plankton.

Reaching lengths of 40 feet, whale sharks are both the largest sharks and the largest fish in the sea. Like many whales, the whale shark is a filter-feeder. It scoops up tiny plants and animals with its enormous mouth and filters out all the water from its gills.

They won't bite you (they have really tiny teeth!) In fact, they've been known to be so docile that swimmers can catch a ride on their backs!
